The Town of Prosper Parks & Recreation Department strives to provide active and passive recreational opportunities for all citizens of Prosper in an accessible and safe environment, while promoting the preservation of the Town's natural resources.

2020 Fall Zoom Strength, Core and Balance

This 30 minute class starts with cardiovascular oriented warm-up followed by resistance training, balance and core work.  Weights and mats are optional.  You can use household items, a towel or the carpet to substitute.   

Classes meet virtually on Monday's and Wednesday's from 8:30am - 9:00am.  Once registered the Parks and Recreation Department will provide the Zoom meeting link.     

Instructor Kerry Stallo is certified as a personal trainer from NASM, the National Academy of Sports Medicine. In addition, her qualifications include: a certificate as a Fitness Specialist for Older Adults from the Cooper Institute, Training in Corrective Exercise and Special Populations from NASM, and online coaching certification for Dr. Oz’s Sharecare coaching network.

Date Information: June 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29. 8:30am - 9:00am
Cost: $28 per session. There are 7 classes per session.
Age Requirements: 55 and up
Location: Zoom link will be provided by the Parks and Rec Dept to all registered participants

2020 Fall - Oodles of Doodles

Oodles of Doodles is a new form of art that is fun, relaxing, and can increase focus and creativity, and can be particularly effective in rebuilding motor skills and increasing hand-eye coordination. The method is to draw beautiful images that can be enhanced by paint or shading with a pencil.  The instructor will provide step by step instruction for making simple designs and patterns.

Date Information: Thursdays - October 1 - 22; 10:00am - 12:00pm
Cost: $75 for 4 weeks - plus a one time supply fee of $20 due to instructor the first day of class
