Discover Downtown: Moonlight Movie
Friday, March 31 | 7-10 p.m. | Prosper Town Hall
The Discover Downtown Series kicks off on Friday, March 31, with the Moonlight Movie! Bring the family to Downtown Prosper for fun, games, popcorn, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2, an action-adventure comedy film! Fun begins at 7 p.m! Plan to park on the north side of Town Hall. The movie will begin at dusk.
Discover Downtown events are presented free of charge by Parks and Recreation in partnership with the Prosper Economic Development Corporation. The series began in 2022 to provide the community a glimpse of the revitalization happening in the heart of Prosper.

Give Yourself a Hand - Hand Care for Arthritis
March 27 | 10-11 a.m. | The 407 Rec Center
The Lecture Series continues with Hand Care for Arthritis, presented by Mary Beth Burkett, Doctor of Occupational Therapy and Certified Hand Therapist. Join us at The 407 Rec Center, 407 E. First St., on March 27 to increase your awareness of hand osteoarthritis (OA) and learn to manage it conservatively.
Topics to be addressed:
- Understanding the signs and symptoms of OA
- Preventative measures to protect joints and minimize pain and swelling
- Doctor referrals and therapy
About the Series presenter: Mary Beth Burkett has lived in Prosper for 23 years and has treated hand patients for over 30 years. She has worked for Texas Health for 26 years and was instrumental in opening the hand rehabilitation center at Texas Health Prosper in 2017.

Scholarships assist residents in attending Parks and Recreation camps and classes. Assistance is available for adults and children and has been expanded to accommodate those impacted by COVID-19. *All applications are held in strictest confidence to ensure privacy.*
